Ashton Boggan

she/they

Ashton Boggan graduated in 2024 from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Marketing. She wrote short film screenplays and was a member of the UC Video Production Club. She co-wrote and directed her college film production club’s highest-viewed YouTube video in 2021, a horror about a toxic friendship. Exploring the stories of marginalized identities is a focus for her. Through storytelling, Ashton strives to bring people together through the sharing of life’s unique experiences. In her free time, Ashton enjoys browsing the sociology and drama stacks at bookshops, watching indie films, and uncovering the insights within occult belief systems.

Alanna Marshall

she/her

Alanna Marshall is a freelance journalist based in Cincinnati who is passionate about telling people’s stories in ways that foster understanding and build community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in Spanish from the University of Cincinnati.

Currently, Alanna writes for CityBeat magazine as a freelance contributor. Her past experience includes an editorial internship at VMSD magazine, reporting for UC’s independent student newspaper, and serving as president of the university’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

When she’s not writing, Alanna enjoys singing, dancing, crocheting, and hunting for vinyl records and vintage clothing.

V Robbinson

she/her

Sylvia Robinson, known mononymously as ‘V,’ is a recent graduate of Mount St. Joseph University’s liberal arts program, with a minor in social work. Her first foray into journalism was with the student newspaper in May 2023, writing on her work as a volunteer at the Christian Appalachian Project. In high school, she won the Scholastic Art and Writing Silver Key Award—and Life of the Party at her homecoming dance. V is Cincinnati born and raised, and can ascribe much of her personal flair and musical taste to Visual Kei, high camp, and the artist formerly known as Prince.

Lilia Santeramo

Lilia Santeramo is a junior studying journalism at Ohio University. She contributes to the news section of the student newspaper, The Post. Lilia also writes for the student publication Backdrop Magazine, where she works as a section editor. Lilia is committed to creating fact-based journalism that breaks down complex issues so the everyday person can easily understand them. She hopes to help her community stay connected to one another through stories. Lilia is passionate about all types of art and is an especially voracious reader. She also loves hiking and is an amateur yogi.

Morgan Schneider

she/her

Morgan Schneider is a freelance reporter based in Cincinnati. By day, she works for a television news station listening to police scanners and alerting app users to incidents happening near them. By night, she is a big reader and amateur birder. Before television, she studied journalism and environmental science at Miami University (go RedHawks!) and interned for Cincinnati Magazine, Voice of America, and a local newspaper. In her work, Morgan aims to help communities understand how the environment and climate change will affect them, but also how they can adapt. If you ever visit Southwest Ohio, keep an eye out for her favorite bird: the great blue heron.
